Pull out worktop in fitted kitchen

I'm shopping around for cheap fitted kitchens at the moment. Does anyone know where I could get a pull-out worktop/counter that slides back under the kitchen worktop and is covered by a drawer front?

Or would this be something I could ask a carpenter to make for me and incorporate it into an off the shelf cheap kitchen?

Also, I'm still looking for a recommendation for a kitchen fitter if anyone can offer one.

Thanks,
g

Can you explain a bit better. You would be restricting your access to the worktop behind this pullout worktop.

Is this for accessible reasons?

Hmm. I read back over that and I didn't describe it well! But I'm not sure how to put it.

It's something I've seen in someone's house (but lost contact so can't ask where they got it). When the worktop is not in use, it is concealed under the kitchen counter behind an ordinary drawer front. When you want to use it, you pull out the fake drawer and you get a little bit extra counter space. The nearest I could find on the web was this pull-out ironing board from Ikea - I want this kind of thing but with a worktop not an ironing board. My friend used hers as a breakfast counter.

In my case, it won't restrict my access as the main counter will be used for microwave, kettle etc. I plan to pull out the extra worktop when I need to chop veg etc. Then put it away againi when finished.

Thanks, any idea if they are expensive? And if I ever manage to find a kitchen fitter do you think they would deal with him (or her!)?
