Wall Insulation Question

I have a block built house nearing completion. The existing format is: [100mm block][100mm fibre blanket][100mm block][2"x1" batton] on the flat. My intention was to dry line the exterior walls until I started to research the subject conserning condensation and effectiveness. So my question is: what is the best way to go from here?

In truth condensation issues are a concern propogated by people who google too much and read far too many scare mongering reports then pass themselves off as an authorty on a subject that they have precisely zero practical experience of.
I have dry lined thousands upon thousands of mtrs and never had a negative problem, only massive benefits and hundreds of happy customers.
On a new build the best money you can possibly spend is on insulation and to dry line external walls will reap the benefits of the added cost ten fold.
I had full fill cavity pumped insulation and dry lined, I must say I rather enjoy being able to enjoy nights sleep with internal comforts akin to a balmy August night even when it is minus degrees outside.
Froggie do yourself a favour and dryline your external walls, you will never regret it.

what is this??

your not going to simply incorporate 100 of quilted insulation into the cavity are you?
are you planning on pumping in a rockwool type under pressure??

I have 100mm Pink Panther (??) in the cavity, im not sure what you mean by pumping in a rockwool type under pressure. I intend to dry line the external walls. Am I doing something wrong??

Firstly, all the below assumes you are talking about pink roll quilted insulation.

i certainly wouldnt put quilted fibre insulation into a cavity. This quilt will get wet by different means.
1. moisture ingress through the external finish and outerblock
2. condensation will occur on the cold face of the insulation

this buildup of moisture will cause the insulation to sag, no doubt.
the installation of such insulation would also be a chore.
i also doubt that this use of the fibre quilt is included in its certification

If you want to incorporate fibre insulation into a cavity you need to use a proprietory product such as Rockwool Energy Saver:
http://www.rockwool.co.uk/graphics/RW-GB-implementation/datasheets/EnergySaver.pdf

this is a specific material that is pumped in under pressure into a cavity, so if it does sag at any point it will actually expand to fill the area. plus it has a treatment to make it hydrophobic.

Syd, the quilted insulation is already installed so no going back now, but I double checked with the bricky and its called Dry Therm (He thinks). What in your opinion is my best course of action. Thanks, froggie.
