price of carpentry

im builing a house around the drogheda area does any one know how much it would be per squer foot for the carpentry 1st fix and 2nd fix

my partner is a carpenter, depends on the work being carried out, 10 euro per sq ft for wooen floor laminate , semi solid is 12 and 15 for solid. if the work is roofing etc, you can expect to pay about 200 to 250 a day .
 
you really dont price it by the sqft , depends on how many studs walls ,floors ,doorframes,window boards,fitting of stairs etc , it best to get your carpenter to price it from the plans , 2nd fix would be the same ,the amount of doors , skirting ,boxing , handrails ,etc .

The average lounge is about 25/M2. At E10 per sq ft that would be about E2,500 labour only. Nice work if you can get it!
 
so it would be done by the door and frame and how much skirting or would it be by how long it would take? if some one could tell me it would be a good help
 
quote for 3050 sq ft house, 1st fix €1500 (no joists or studding as concrete floor upstairs), 2nd fix €2300 (not including stairs)
 
Ours is 3100 sq ft dormer and 1st and 2nd fix including stairs, soffit and fascia,skirting, doors etc is €5,000. Is that good?
 
Guys i find it hard to believe the prices ye are being quoted they seem very cheap i have three quotes in first and 2nd fix between €25k and €26k labour only!
 
Well i presume when other posters say first and second fix it includes the roof??? :confused: Yes it includes the roof to the house and garage!
 
sometimes 1st fix would be your roof and all the 1st fix work inside , studs , etc , for 25k it must be a decent size house or big roof or something like that.

1500 for 1st fix they must be just fitting the doorsframes and window boards and some small bit here and there ,how many doors , windows

5000 for a 1st and 2nd fix on a 3000sqft house , their must be very little rooms in it or they dont speak english

will be priced on doors and rooms to be skirting , boxing , handrail , hotpress etc , 2nd fixed 1100sqft house last year 11 doors with 5 rooms , sitting room and kithen to skirt and fitted stairs with no handrail (they put glass on it ) and boxing ,etc all timber work and doors were oak ,i bit more work for e3500
 
Ir's 4100sqft, i have decided to take a day rate from a chippy in my home town and try and keep them pushed along and get the roof done!
 
Well i have two of them lined up and my father will be on site every day, they are friends of mine! €415/day giving them 4 weeks thats generous will cost me €8,300 as opposed to price work of €25k seems like a no brainer to me!
 
how much is it per door and frame with archatrve. and per lenght of 16 foot of skirt dose any one know:)
 
Well the locals had a price in of €5k to cover all second fix, it would be cheeky to ask them now!!! Either way it will be a money saver!
 
it the nature of the game some do 1st ,some do 2nd thats the way it goes ,it wont be the first and wont last job they dont do all the carpentry on the job
 
are you pricing this as a job or are you building this house , in one of your other posts you are saying you are a carpenter ?
