Currently using Moviestar.ie but we never receive new or recent releases. Thinking of cancelling account.
Are there any other companies similar with good stock of new and recent movies?

Thanks!

i got hounded by moviestar after i cancelled my account. Had to contact them in the end telling them to stop emailing me and to remove my details from the system

I agree: I was with Moviestar.ie - they never have any new rentals

We were using busybeedvd but I found they never sent any new releases and we tended to get more TV DVDs when there weren't many on our list. We cancelled our account and changed to movies by An Post - which so far have been great (and cheaper!)

Given the history of the owners of Moviestar, I wouldn't be too surprised what they get up to.

I find most of those online places have limited numbers of the latest titles so I gave up with them.

i found them brutal as well - after many an argument via email I closed my account also.

my brother uses screenclick and hasn't had any problems.

how does that work?

Log onto anpost.ie and there's a section to get into their movie rental and you just register. You set up a list of what you want to watch (choosing from the movies they have) and they send you DVDs from your list - you watch and then return them (in the prepaid envelope they send you) for Eur7.99 per month...

Never knew AnPost rented movies! Although the address for the section of their site suggests a link-up with one of the better known movie rental sites: http://anpost.screenclick.com :)

Any way, I've tried BusyBee, Moviestar and Screenclick over the last couple of years and it's always the same, you rarely get the more popular films/new releases early on, so I gave up in the end. I just download them now :)o)

That sounds very good value. Never knew about An Post. Thanks for heads up.

Hi again

Just to say the previous poster is right, it is screenclick that we've subscribed to through the an post website. Still think it's great though :D
