Flying to Bordeaux in mid October. Checked flights today and they are working out at around 140euro return incl taxes and charges with Aer Lingus. Does that sound like a good deal? Should I book it now or wait and see if there are better fares nearer the time as I wouldn't imagine Bordeaux being a popular destination that late in the year? Any ideas? When do Aer Lingus usually have sales on - I know there's one now but it doesn't go out that far?

Aerlingus now only operate that route from April to October. I used it alot last year. I need to go in April but the fares at the moment are to high, Normally I used pay between 100 to 120 high season and 60 to 80 euro low season .If i were you I would hold off unless you ae going for some large sporting event where you know the fares will rise

Prices only go one way with budget airlines..... buy now if you want to go......

I booked flights to Edinburgh in October to go for Easter weekend with Aer Lingus. They were €128 and I thought - oh well it is Easter weekend.

A few weeks later the exact same flights were about €50 :(

So you really never know.......
