No Dysons please, been there done that

Miele, as a brand seems to be the #1 recommendation, but they don't seem to have a bagless model

I got one in Dunnes for €60 about three months ago and it works a treat.

I bought a Morphy Richards Orb Cyclone (cost €105) a couple of years ago after the demise of my much-used VAX. Wouldn't recommend it though - the cheap Dirt Devil (bagged model) I bought for €40 has better cleaning power!

I found the Morphy Richards does lose suction (maybe Mr Dyson was right about something!), the Pet cleaner hose attachment gets clogged very easily and isn't easy to clean, and the shape of both hose attachments included with the machine is such that they're not absolutely level with the floor unless I'm bent in two and exerting a lot of downward pressure!

Think I'll be trading it in for a new model soon - so will keep an eye on this thread!

I've tried both bagless and with bags. One of the best things I've ever bought was a Miele cat and dog. Far less hassle than bagless cleaners.

(other 'golden goods', include DSLite and my ski jacket)

from what I've been reading, the dysons have siginifantly improved on quality in the last few yrs and with teh 5yr warranty, its a no brainer

any comments>?
