Applewood Apartments

I just recently viewed an apartment under a duplex in Applewood and wondered if anyone knew what the noise level is like from the duplex up stairs??? When we tap the ceiling it sounds hollow, this is a bit worrying, as we want to put an offer in asap!

Any help...?
 
I can't speak for Applewood specifically but I would be very surprised if you found any apartment built in Ireland within the last 5 years with good sound insulation.

Without being able to get access to the duplex above, or if you get no first-hand replies here, then I would assume the sound insulation is poor.
 
Hi,

I rented one of those one bed apartments (under the duplex) on applewood close and never had any sound problems. Not sure about the other estates in applewood.

Why?
I moved into a newly built apartment before Christmas and the sound is fine. Yes you hear a little bit from upstairs but no more than you would expect from neighbours. I find my place no louder than living in a standard semi-d house.
