Wood burning stoves, Cork

Has anyone bought a wood burning stove in Cork recently? There seems to be a relatively small selection and most of what I've seen is in black. Ideally I'd like a red enamel version... too much to ask for?

Hi Kate,

Definately not too much to ask for....After months of searching for a cream stove, we were considering buying one we had seen in France. Just in the nick of time, we came across Flor O'Mahony on Vicars Road, Pouladuff. They have a huge range of both traditional and contempory stoves in a wide range of colours. You should have no trouble getting a red one, I seem to remember seeing lots of them on my search!! There is another store in Douglas woollen mills, can't remember their name though....they had a fairly big selection. I found Flor O'Mahony to be the best all round though in terms of product range, advice and general customer service....

Hope that helps,

Thanks Bobbins, delighted with that. A bit embarrassed too... would you believe I live about a twenty second walk from Vicar's Road?!

Right on my doorstep all along!

LOL.....don't be put off by the exterior if you do go there. The first time I went, I didn't go in because I thought it was closed down....but looks are deceiving. PM me if you need directions......
