Scaffolding

My blocklayer told me I need to have scaffolding set up when he is putting up the 1st floor blocks. I assumed he would have it himself.
Where do I find scaffolding and who would erect it usually and i s it expensive to hire?

One would have though that the blocklayers would have priced in for scaffolding.

has to be erected by a competent person( Has required CSCS tickets)

Whats your location andand see if I can send on some names.

But ball park-- 3 lift gable for 1 week maybe 600euro

Concepscaffolding Oranmore, looks like a competent set up but Im in Lenister so havent had many dealings in the West.

Just a word of warning for you, seems as if your in the early stages of a new build by direct labour?? If yes, then assume nothing........blocklayers will just lay blocks and will not do anything outside of their job description.....as will all other trades. Your acting as contractor on site, and all these trades are your sub-contractors. It will be up to you at the various stages to make sure everything on site is ready for them!

Thanks Roundy. It certainly is daunting and a big learning curve but I am enjoying it so far. I wish I had a checklist for each stage in terms of skills and materials needed. Should be fun.
