I'm shopping for a leather sofa. I saw a lovely Natuzzi leather sofa in Arnotts. Anyone who owns this sofa? Is it holding up really well? Are you happy with the quality of it?

Sorry guys, posted on the wrong section. My apologies.

All leather sofas including Natuzzi are graded as regards the type of leather used. Not neccessarily good leather vs bad but hardwearing vs softer etc. We bought Natuzzi and you can specify the grade of leather from a collection of samples as they are made to order.

Hi Highflier,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I am thinking of getting the protecta leather (mid-range) in beige. Are you happy with your choice?

More than 4 years on mine are still looking great. No complaints at all.

Have had a few of these and no complaints. The softer leather does mark pretty easily, but feels better. What grade you go for will depend on how much/ what type of use it is going to get, whether you have kids, or pets etc. Would think the mid-range is a good compromise for most people.
If you do order be prepared for a bit of a wait, I have had delivery times ranging from 12 to 18 weeks (shop gave a pretty accurate estimate with each order so it was expected).

I agree with all of the above. We have a beige 3 + 2 for 2 years and it's still like new.
The lead time is more to the 4 months end but once you know so be it. A delivery hint, make sure it fits all the doors your need to get in and ask the delivery people to lay it on it's back so you can be oh so careful taking off the wads of packaging. (cross bars included)

Have a black Natuzzi leather suite, don't know the grade of leather of the top of my head.
It is in perfect condition after 3.5 years of use (really happy with it).
Originally we bought a 3+1+1 and later decided to get another single seater.
Once we stated the grades etc. we recieved a perfect match with the original ones.

- It's nice being a happy customer for a change!!!

We have our black protecta suite 4 years now. All reclining mechanisms are still perfect and its taking all kinds of battering from the kids. No signs of ware.

Very happy customer!

You should look at Rolf Benz, superior quality hides with excellent designs, a bit more expensive though.

Ive had a Natuzzi sofa bed for about 4 years. Its a superb piece of furniture...........................................................

I concur with the above we have two suites and they have worn very well, stand up to terrible abuse and clean up perfectly.

Hi,
I am looking at Italian sofa's too at the moment. When people say it is probably best to go mid range what numbers do they mean. I know leather is rated upto 50 so are people recommending about 25? I saw some around 25 and though they feel lovely, they seemed very easy to mark and are a good bit more expensive than say 10 -15.
Would people feel the 10-15 are not of great quality, comfort or looks?
Appreciate any advice people can give.

25 actually feels soft and looks beautiful and a bit thicker than 10 or 15. there's only a difference of 200 euro between 10 and 25...anybody experience buying sofa in arnotts?

anybody experienced buying sofa in arnotts?

We bought ours there. Ordered in early oct. with a delivery date mid december. We had it in late november. No issue, straight forward.

I wouldn't buy unless you are getting sales price though (we were in a new house and using a 20 year old suite borrowed from in-laws with 20 years of cigarette smoke drenched into it i.e. we were motivated purchasers). Their sales on furniture are very honest from what I've seen i.e. if the suite is 5K before chistmas and there is 30% off in the sale after christmas, the suite will be 3.5K in the sale. No upping prices to take it off, no only selected models are in the sale, no display models only.

Granted, if they can't treat you well when you're paying the bones of 6k for a 3-1-1 then it would be pretty poor.

I have just fallen in love with a Natuzzi sofa, 3+2+1. Is there any where online that they can be purchased for cheaper? We are getting sale price but would still consider online if we could get better.
Thanks

even with a sale, always always ask for more off if you buy today. Have bought 2 lots in last 8 years (on sale) and got extra each time off. Am not billiant at asking but paid off!
