Whats is the closest/most ideal hotel to stay in if going racing in Dundalk, also is the track far from Dundalk centre?

Whats is the closest/most ideal hotel to stay in if going racing in Dundalk, also is the track far from Dundalk centre?

It's on the outskirts but easy enough to walk to town centre - about 20 minutes walk I'd say. Any town hotels would be appropriate to stay in I suppose - the Ballymascanlon House hotel (The Ballymac) is nice, on the outskirts too, and fairly close to the track but I'd say it's expensive.

The Crown Plaza is only newly opened and is close to the Motorway.
It is about 2-3 miles from the racetrack though on the same road.
