Weird Credit card issue!

Hi!

I tried to perform a cash advance today with my credit card (bad i know tut tut ) and it wouldn't let me citing some error (ref 48). My account is 250 euro below the credit limit (its a student CC) so I should be able to do it! Any idea what might be going wrong?

Were you trying to withdraw over €250 ?

Is it wise to withdraw cash (at a premium) froma credit card that is already near its limit ? No, don't answer that one . . .

Is it possible that some of the €250 available credit is being taken up by transactions which have been authorised, but not yet charges. If you have made any online purchases recently, you may find that these transactions have been authorised, but will not be charged until the goods physically shipped. So not all of the €250 available credit is actually available.
 
Hmmm,

I was just transferring 20 euro from my CC account to my current account. They wouldn't have frozen it or anything, would they?
 
Hard to tell when you won't answer the follow up questions from others looking for clarifying info! Why don't you just call them and ask?
