Could anyone recommend a provider of business credit cards, who does not charge an annual fee for it? Thanks!

Are you sure it's just that you haven't yet been billed for the annual stamp duty? AFAIK there's no exemption for business accounts.

The stamp duty is €40 and is charged on all credit cards - business or personal. There is no way to avoid it.

However, the banks apparently also charge their own fee for the business credit cards. BoI is asking for €25 per annum per card, Ulster Bank wants €30 and AIB is quoting €19.05. Since I am likely to have only a couple of dozens of transactions in a year, paying for the privilege of having a credit card is not very appealing :)

I got fed up of paying business rates to the banks as they really screw businesses with charges so I have now taken out a private card with Halifax and got 100 euro for my trouble its a win win situation unless you are a very big operation where you need numerous cards I received two cards for both directors and get far more favourable rates and longer time to pay - so what if it doesn't have your company name on it!!!

In this case you have to expense every single item, which goes onto the card. If you simply paying the credit card bill from the company's account, this is like paying yourself a salary, so you would have to pay PAYE+PRSI on the amounts.

I would use my card less than 10 transactions a month so its easy to list the expenses.
