Microsoft Quick Launch

Morning,

We've had a new server installed in work here and some of my settings have vanished.

I previously had 6 or 8 quick launch icons sitting at the base of my screen ( to the right of the start button) but they are no longer there.

As a remedy I've right clicked a blank space in this area, chosen toolbars and then quick launch. However, this only makes Explorer, Word and the desktop icon appear.

How can I get Excel, outlook icons etc?

Hopefully there's a simple solution.

The blue thing at the bottom is called the task bar. Right click on it and make sure it is unlocked. Create shortcuts to the applications you want on your desktop and then drag them into the quick launch area. Right click on the task bar again and lock it.
(This is on XP).

I wondering what the connection is with the server and Ham Slicer's desktop settings. Perhaps they rolled out a standard desktop across the network?

Problem sorted. That's what I was doing but I hadn't unlocked the taskbar.

Much appreciated.
