Eh, no?

It'll probably improve the performance of your computer, but it won't make any difference at all to the speed of your internet connection.

If your broadband seems slow, I'd suggest you test your speed here. If your machine is running slow generally, it would be worth first checking you haven't picked up a virus or spyware of some kind — see this key post — and running a disk cleanup and defragmentation (search the Windows Help files for further info, if you're not familiar with these terms).
