Is it possible to turn off passenger Airbag in 04 Mondeo

Was hoping to put the child in the passenger seat beside me in the maxi cosi, but there doesn't seem to be a switch to isolate the passenger airbag in our 04 mondeo like there is in other cars, Can it be done

It has to be possible, for safety reasons with kids.
It is usually like a plastic screw where the door closes against the dash board.

In a lot of cars there is no switch to turn off the airbag.

I asked in the garage and was told that my car at the time ( 99 Laguna),
had no fail safe way if disabling the airbag. They had a method of doing it,
but no guarantees from Renault that this was 100% guaranteed never to
engage as this feature ws not designed in, in the first place.
 
Most cars have it as an option from new. My A4 has a little lock in the glovebox that you can turn 'on' and 'off' with the key.
 
yes it is possible it comes as a kit we fit a good few of they have to be bought from ford
