What would the best hotel be to stay in (distance wise) if attending a concert in RDS?

The Four Seasons or Bewleys Ballsbridge they are across the road from each other and right beside the RDS. The latter would be less expensive.

FYI
Bewleys Hotel Ballsbridge

Any chance you could lose the text speak so that people can understand your posts?

or try the Mespil Hotel on Baggot St Bridge. You betterr not leave it to late. With Jurys closed there is likely to be a scrum for rooms

Don't you just hate it when people can't put a little effort into being helpful. You'll find that text speak doesn't go over well on :)

I'm guessing you mean Merrion Hall, which appears to be very nice, it isn't a B&B - they call themselves a private hotel and the prices are certainly higher than your average B&B. It is as convenient to the RDS as it's possible to be.

Here's a link:

It is 2 houses converted into 1, the corner house used to belong to JJ Davy who founded Davy Stockbrokers. His brother Eugene played rugby for Ireland.
And there ends today's history lesson. ;)

Got it in 1 TreeTiger! it is expensive but worth it !

Hi

Cant believe no one has mentioned the Herbert Park Hotel literally across the road from RDS and you can actually see the stage from the hotel entrance ! We will alway stay here when at concert without doubt until we treat ourselves at the 4 seasons of course !. Around €150 room only but always try the various discount websites i.e. hotelclub, laterooms, lastminute, otel.com etc. They do a concert special buffet in the afternoon but I wouldn't bother - overpriced and as per other threads, lots of other nice restuarants in the area. Herbert Park Hotel would not be as big or as packed as Bewleys on concert day in my opinion. Much more relaxed build-up in my opinion. This hotel gets mixed reports on tripadvisor but for us it does the trick and have no complaints except murder in the bar afterwards trying to get a drink !

Has Jurys, Berkeley court re-opened under some other name (if you have website please), or am I going mad ?

Thanks Nige

Anyone stayed at the (what was) the Berkeley Court since it re-opened ? Is it basically the same as it was or... ?

I am guessing it is pretty similar as, allegedly, they bought the furniture back from the guy it was sold to. They seem to have contracted out the catering. The bar is run by Charlie Chawke and there is apparently a ZUMO juice bar.

Haven't been in it, but it is a reasonable price in a good location
