suggestions for a 40th wedding anniversary present?

A trip back to where there honeymoon was.

I dont think theyed thank us, theyre living about a mile away from there for the last 20 years. A holiday is on the cards alright.

Was asking myself the same question last year for my parents...I offered then flights and 3 nights in very nice hotel in Venice for a bit of romance..
They were delighted..

Are there any suggestions for a present to a non-relative. We are invited to a 40th and he is a fairly good friend (the golfing type) of my husbands. Have been trying to think of something - don't think he's into booze so the vintage wine (1967) isn't really an option. He's a trained singer so I think he would have all the music there's to be had. I'm blank.

Adopt donkeys in the donkey sanctuary in Cork for them... adopt a couple maybe.

Great place (seriously)

A round of golf or golf lessons...in maybe Luttrellstown or K club.

could make a lovely personalised photo album of all your years together i did it for my parents 25th anniversary and they loved it. trip away would always be lovely :)

We bought a special Golden Anniversary camellia bush for Hub's Aunt & Uncle's 50th & had it delivered... you can get similar ones for all anniversaries (and it went down a treat)

as above. Its the Ruby one.
You don't say (that I noticed skimming through) who you are in this relationship - one of the 40th wedding parties, or a son/daughter, friend etc. Reason being for our parents' 40th, we got them a photo of the kids done by a photographer. The mudder got one done when we were kids on a couch, so we copied that seating arrangement... other than that, a nice new flat screen TV - especially if like my parents they've an old bockety one.

clubman feels it's important to keep the pipes clean I guess.

Was at the James Galway concert the other night and stayed over in a posh hotel thanks to our children. A fantastic present for our 40th wedding anniversary
