Bathroom window in my apartment

Hi there! My surveyor told me the builder had to change the glass in my bathroom to opaque citing building regulations. The builder wont. On further querying I have been told its not strictly building regulations but " best practice " so if the builder wont do it, its not worth my hassle. Its a down stairs window that people can walk by so it def needs to be changed by one of us!
Should i keep on at the builder or leave it? Any ideas?

Thanks!!!!!!!!

What about that plastic stick on translucent stuff that is sometimes used to occlude clear glass windows? The same stuff that used to prevent me staring out the window while daydreaming in school. :)

Good idea. Do they have it in work for you now ;)

They have cans of frosting spray in B&Q. The make is plasti-kote and it is glass frosting.
Basically you spray it on and it frosts the glass. I have used it on shed windows and while a bit difficult to get right , works a treat.

Yeah, it's great stuff altogether. I use it when someone takes my parking space or blocks my driveway.

Look at what it said on the planning (even if you have to go to the planning office to see the original plans that the planning was granted on), the builder should have obscure glass as standard in the bathroom. Why should you have to change it or try to make it obscure yourself - you have paid enough for your home! Builders just get away with too much!

That's my little rant over for today (I hope)
