Does anyone know a good carpet cleaning product and where would you buy it

Would anyone know how to get fake tan stains out of a pale coloured carpet? I've tried vanish, spot cleaners, washing up liquid and powder and have managed very successfully to make the area even worse :mad:

Will try any suggestions. Thank you.
 
Got some of that on our carpet (well the wife did - not me!) years ago and never managed to get the stain out I'm afraid. At least our carpet is a shade of brown anyway so it's not too noticeable...

Whatever u do only use the vanish made for carpets..i made up a solution using the one for the washing machine (thought itd be the same). I managed to bleach a light grey pure wool carpet a lovely shade of brown :eek:
ps.how many posts dya have to do to become a frequent poster?
 
I've done that myself. ;) It comes off the sheets no problem in a boil wash so.... I put washing powder into boiling water to disolve it and kept pouring it on the stain and sucking it up straight away with the carpet shampooer. I have the vax shampooer because I like pale carpet. You could rent one or ask around people you know to maybe borrow one? Good luck with it.
