Spam on my mobile

I've had the same phone number on my mobile for 4-5 years now and for the first time ever this week i received a spam text. You know the type, "text flirt to.......txt cost 2e" - where the heck has this come from? The only variable that i can think of is where i entered a competition on a well known radio station only last week by text. Am i going to get more of these? How do i stop it? Where is it coming from? Do radio stations give out your number? Maybe its coming from the radio station itself? I know i'm blaming the station but i've never had this before and the only new thing i can think of is the comp i entered.
 
Thats great ccovich - job done - went to regtel website and put in the number of the spam message which then gave me the name and number of the people sending the spam - i rang them and they took my name off straight away - thanks a million.
 
I've had the same problem with this well known radio station every time I ever entered a competition with them. The competition entry was always followed by spam. I think its a abuse of my number.
The lesson being dont enter their competitions!

Is it within the posting guidelines to give the name of the radio station? Or maybe put it in Good deals, bad deals, consumer issues?
 
Full details are of competitions are generally available on their websites, I'd advise people to check those before entering phone-ins etc.
