lost jewels in dublin airport

Does anybody know what happens to jewellery left at Dublin airport?
Surely somebody else had the experience of walking away (after being frisked, derobed, mauled..) and leaving all jewellery behind in the tray?
Do they auction it off or can you claim it back?

Thanks for that. The airport police are so busy they dont have time to reply . I believe you can fill in a form online but they dont make it easy to find it.
