Could anyone recommend a dietician preferable, but not essentially, on the West Coast Ireland.

Thanks for any help you may give.

Thank you for the replies. I was unhappy with my GP's recommendations. I felt they were very uncreative. I need someone who will give me a detailed plan of diet and exercise that will meet my health and work demands.

What exactly do you mean by "uncreative"? Adhering to a balanced diet in is not really that creative and (for the vast majority of people who don't have specific dietry issues/needs) just involves sticking to the appropriate selection from the standard food pyramid and watching portion sizes.

I agree Clubman. Using the food pyramid and watching portion size I am capable of doing myself. What I want is more than this and therefore looking for a dietican. My problem so far has been the dieticans I have met with thus far have just used the pyramid etc. I want someone who is interested in
doing more than this and help me to findright way forward for my particular needs.

I'm confused - what more do you expect a dietician to offer in terms of advice? What sort of "creativity" in this context are you looking for and why?
