Hi,

I've recently bought a lexus IS200 and was putting in a number of cd's into the 6 stack system when an error message "Error 3" came up.
Since then Ive not been able to load or eject any Cd's.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Brian

It sound like you have two Cd's jammed in the same slot. This used to happen to a lot of people who just bought them, you have to wait till you get the light flashing near the load button to put the cd in.

You'll have to get it repaired. Could also get one out of a scrap yard, there not coded to each car.

no...thats def not the case...the system wont actually take a cd in until it has the previous one allocated - simply took one out ..hit the load button and it took in the new one - after that nothing except "error 3"

got into my car this morning, turned it on and the player spat out the CD's - all is working well now - cheers

Brian,

For future reference, I got a new is200 back in early 2000 and on two occasions the dealer had to remove the Audio unit and send it off for repair as the CD system malfunctioned! Other than that the car was excellent!
