House alarm ringing constantly.

We have just endured nearly 24 hours of our neighbours house alarm ringing intermittantly. When the external alarm is not ringing the internal alarm is ringing at a lower pitch but still just as annoying.
I want to make a complaint under the Noise Pollution Act to the relevant authority, does anyone know the address?

Presumably the neighbours are away, if so is there not a contact for the alarm company ( on the external box) or, any contact for the neighbours so they could get a keyholder to turn it off. That would probably be the fastest solution. Thats usually what we do if such happens. CHeck with other neighbours and someone usually can get a contact for the house involved.

Also has information on where to complain on noise pollution. HOwever presumably neighbour are not deliberately letting alarm ringing just to annoy everyone so not sure what action if any might be taken.

The alarm ringing on this house would be a weekly occurence throughout the year so these people must be aware that there is a fault somewhere.

Maybe if each time it rings you call the guards and tell them about it - it might galvanise them into action just to get you to stop bugging them. otherwise you need to talk to the neighbours about it.

The local authority are the right people to complain to. I know others who have done this.
If you dont know the address of your County council, you can find it in the green pages of the phone book.

Unless you are already on a bad footing with your neighbours, I don't think it is a good idea to make an official (to the Gardai, Council etc.) complaint without first approachiing your neighbours directly.
