New Car Engine - What Formalities?

Hi there

A couple of months ago the engine blew in my car. I've been so busy i'm only getting around to having a new engine put into it next week. Do i need to notify anyone that there is a new engine in the car e.g. Tax Office, Insurance Co, other?

Any advice would be appreciated.
 
Thats what i thought. Anyone else to inform? I can't think of anyone else but let me know if i'm missing someone
 
unless its a modified / different engine from the original one, its nothing to do with the insurance company as they have no details on the original engine other than its capacity.

it could affect the value of the car
 
If you are replacing like for like no one needs to know.

I wish!! No, the engine going into the car is the same year, size etc as the one that was already in it. Absolutely no difference in the engine at all.
