UB want me to close Dual A/c

Hi Guys,
Been with UB about ten years and always had a dual account - very little interest but no charges.
Got a letter this week saying they were not offering Dual accounts anymore and want me to transfer to a regular current account?
Anyone in the same situation and if so what are you doing?
I'm moving to halifax anyway, bu8t I wondered if I would qualify for the €150 for opening a "new current account". Tried to ring them but....well..its the old story isn't it............leave a message and we'll get back to you toimorrow....or the day after that.....or......

You mean with UB? Isn't that offer closed now and it only applied to new customers anyway?

i came across this too. i simply went ahead and switched to the current account. they also offered me a servicecard.

I have a Dual Account with Ulster Bank but they haven't contacted me about it at all. This may be because I already have a Current (Premium) Account with them also.

i forgot to mention that i have a u first gold account with them also. back in feb 07 i was asked to switch my dual account to a standard current account. i now have 2 servicecards as a result. maybe they have yet to contact you.
