I'll be staying in Earls Court Square in a fortnights time for a Saturday night and was wondering if anyone knew of the are and what it like to go out in? (Group of 3 lads) Will we need to go to a different area? Or is there plenty happening locally.

Thanks,

M

Not a great area for going out in really .. there's a couple of bars along the main street. There's not a lot in Earls Court really apart from the exhibition halls and lots of B&Bs/cheap hotels. I would certainly recommend going into town.

I may be way out of date, but it used to be known as an area where Aussies lived when they hit town. Because of this, there's plenty of bars etc. and a fairly young feel to the place. As I said, this info could be well out of date though....

We stayed nearby in January and thought it was a nice enough part of town. Busy but didnt feel like you were in the city if you get me.

Some nice bars and restaurants on the main road and only a few mins away from all the central london attractions via the underground.

I stayed there for the guts of a week around 10 years ago. It would remind me of the likes of Ranelagh in Dublin.

We stayed in one of the cheap hotels a few years ago and thought the area was lifeless to be honest. Had a wander around looking for a lively bar but just came across the typical aussie place which was dead. Eventually jumped on the tube and headed into Picadilly.

I believe the square here is Earl's court square. The local bars are highlighted.
