NTL - Strange Problem

Hi, I'm having a weird issue with NTL.

It looks like the some channels are playing faster than normal - espeically when I'm watching films.

Is anyone else having a problem?

Thanks

K

by any chance, is it a case of lip sync?

we have chorus, live in nth kildare and at times its like watching the old monkey magic series on tv a few years ago.

I've been having a time delay on my Sky over the past 2 nights. I switched my box off, took the card out and turned it back on, then put the card back in. Thought this would have fixed it but it's obviously their signal and not my receiver.

I've seen the lipsync problem from time to time with NTL but I don't really know what the original post is all about if it's not that!

Nothing to do with NTL as per the original post?

Does it by any chance happen with horseracing or sports, so you could place a bet on the outcome?

yes but may have been relevant in the context of digital tv & lipsyncing as per the second post in relation to chorus?

I've watched football matches on TV but sometimes retired to the kitchen to listen to the radio coverage of the same match. Very disconcerting as one usually works ahead of the other! Oddly enough watching on TV and tuning to BBC Radio 5 for the commentary (the same trick some pubs used to use to get English commentary on a Scandinavian satellite TV broadcast of a Premiership game) used to work fine for me in years gone by.

Its not so much the lips-synch but the actual video speed - its just seems like everything is moving a little faster.

I noticed it first with Rocky 3 (on Sky 2 during the week) and then with Knight Rider and all the films on Film 4, MGM and TCM this evening.

I'm watching 28 Days later at the mo and its fine.
