I cannot get any sound direct from my speakers - 'no SoundMAX audio present' comes up over the soundmax logo. I am only getting sound through my logitech headphones.
My question how do I reinstate SoundMAX audio, I run windowsXP.

You could try downloading the latest drivers and installing them. If you Google for SoundMax drivers you will find that you have to search for the sound drivers for your PC / motherboard (e.g. search for Compaq Prosario Audio Soundmax driver) as the doesn't support end-users directly.
You might need to uninstall the existing driver first, then reboot and install the new one.
