Hey, I have a 6101 but can't make calls. the computer says "you will need to top up your credit with a ready to go GSM go-card".
However there is aready €52.47 credit in it. ?????

Any help?
And can this have something to do with the "allow sim to call" which i accidentally clicked "yes" to but i dont know how to find it again to deactivate?

It's just i wanted to see if anyone knew befor i go to the Carphone Warehouse to ask, and as per usual vodafone websit is no help.

Thanks!!
:D

EDIT: I also wanted to know, If i wanted to restore factory settings, where would i find the password? Is it in one of the manuals, just i cant find it anywhere.

Sn@kebite,

Is the €50+ free credit i.e credit you got when you paid for the phone? If so they don't count this as credit. I got one of these phones at Christmas and I recently had to top up by at least €5 even though I had nearly €40 in the phone. I'm with Meteor. Ring your providers customer care number and ask them if this is the case.

This is free credit, i get €10 every month for 12 months so it's cumulated while i use my old phone. I'll try a topup like you said.

Wierd thing is: i have been making calls before, and texts on this phone and it never said i needed to topup.

thanks for you help anyway i hope it works. :)

With Meteor, if you don't top up for 6 months, you can't make calls or send texts — even if you have old credit on the 'phone!
Maybe it's the same with Vodafone?

Thanks to you both for your help, i got it working :D

But what happens when my €10 runs out? does it block my outgoing calls again? Is it a scam or something because how am i supposed to use my credit?

Wierd!!:(
