Where to buy sunglasses

hi all, I am heading to Lanzarote next week, and my OH wants to buy me some new sunglasses, its my birthday on the day we go. Can anyone tell me is it the best option to
(a) Buy them here
(b) at Dublin airport
(c) over in Lanzarote?
I want to get a good pair that will last me, I know they sell some good fake brands over there but i would like a real pair (especially as i am not paying for them!!)

I found the duty-free cheaper. Lanzarote and Dublin were similiar (for Oakleys anyway). Enjoy the holliers!

lucylou - I love designer sunglasses, I found this sunglasses website recently - never used them so cannot recommend them apols.

I recently bought a pair in the airport - just on the other side of the security check and they were about €40 cheaper than in the Stephens Green Centre. Only thing is if you don't find something that you like you'll have nowt for your holidays.

Hi lucylou, if your OH is going to treat you to a proper designer pair then you are better off going to an optician, I highly recommend Donal MacNally in Huguenot House, St Stephens Green, opposite Bang restaurant. Excellent range, superb attentive service and great aftercare service too and the staff are honest about what suits you. I have no connection with them and really think they are a great offering.
