Anybody know anything about this area?
Anyone living/have lived in this area- what is it like?
Any estates that have problems that would be best to avoid
Thanks

Living there for 3 years. I really like Celbridge, it is very handy for commuting to Dublin, especially the Hazelhatch side as it is only a mile from the train station. The train only takes 15 mins approx to get to Heuston station. Also there is a new school being built on the Hazelhatch Road (or at least promised to be built, so might take a while...)
A Nitelink from Dublin takes 30 mins approx at weekends and a taxi is approx €32. There are a few good pubs and restaurants in the town itself, and there is generally a good atmosphere around the town.
There aren't that many shops in Celbridge though, prob because it is less than 5 miles to Liffey Valley. There is a Tesco, which is not great, but is about to be rebuilt and an Aldi. You might get more info if you post up on the forum at www.celbridge.ie
