Another beautiful friday wish I wasn't working.

My sister is looking for a 7 seater.

I can only think of the Zafira and Trajet.

The Espace is probably too big.

What other cars are there in the same class size as the first 2 with 7 seats.

She doesn't do a lot of driving so a 1.6 to 1.8 petrol would be fine.

AFAIK the Trajet isn't available in anything less than a 2.0 l engine and it is a full sized MPV as is the Espace, Galaxy and Alhambra but again AFAIK 1.9 TD is the smallest engine available in any of them. The Zafira is a mini MPV as is the Grand scenic and Carens - you will get the engine sizes you are talking about but they don't have anything like the space of a full sized MPV.

I think you'll find more Zafiras than any other model in this segement at a price of €15k. Here are some of the alternatives:

VW Touran
Renault Grand Scenic

very hard to find a Verso for that money unless its the previous model, which was crap

I agree the old model wasn't really a looker but the current model is in my opinion fantastic and looks great.
You could always try Merlin car auctions keep an eye on their auction listings and when one comes up go and stick in a bid you may get lucky on a 04+

Good Luck ;)

Thanks all

Will have to keep an eye out.

Merlin could be worth a look alright.

We bought a Zafira (03 I think) recently for under that money. When it came out first the word on the street was that it wasn't exactly bursting with extras and was very plain (suitable for the rental market was the phrase used at the time) so combined with other factors we went for one of the old Laguna estates which was brilliant.

However, now that we have the Zafira I can't complain about it. Plenty of room, a little underpowered maybe but still capable of doing 120 on the motorways with a fair load, so it's only relative.
