Where to stay in Liverpool for match

Can anyone recommend a decent hotel in the Liverpool area with safe parking handy for attending a match in Anfield?

The Radisson is the best in my opinion

Taxi to the match is the best option...costs about a tenner
 
Crowne Plaza down in the dock, it is excellent. Nice leisure centre, comfy rooms etc. Check the website, usually there are good rates available or phone them directly and ask for best rate or quote web rate and they'll sort you out. I paid 99 pounds for a room for a night B&B. That was between 2 of us so 50 pounds each.
 
If you are on a budget you could try the embassy hostel.
The address is 1 faulkners sq ,toxteth....a 15 minutes walk to city center.
Surely all liverpool fans can`t afford top hotels?
 
Could only find accom in Chester at a holiday inn. I guess we will have take the train up to Liverpool. I heard it's inadvisable to drive to Anfield.

get a taxi from the city centre... On match day's you would need to get up to Anfield very early to even stand a chance of parking or even getting anywhere near the stadium.

I second that, the place is a bit rustic but it is dirt cheap and great craic. The owners are Everton fans so expect a bit of 'friendly' banter.
 
http://www.premiertravelinn.com/ - Stayed there for Utd game recently. It's on Vernon St. near city centre, pubs and clubs. Great breakfast there. Rooms very comfortable.
