ISP dial up options, advice sought

Hi
I'm moving back to Ireland in a month's time and looking for advice on connecting to the internet and/or reconnecting the landline. I know the area I am moving to is not broadband ready and that the land line was previously operational with eircom, it is presently disconnected. I am therefore limited to dial up (or expensive satelite technology but I don't think I want to go down that route). What are the cheapest/best options open to me? Can I use dial up with a company without having the phone operational, or are they not mutually exclusive, as I have a mobile. What telephone / ISPs do people recommend?
Thanks
Jonjo

Any use?

Cancelling ESAT dial-up a/c

You may be able to get a subscription based flat rate dial-up package that would be cheaper for peak time usage than the non subscription route.

Not normally. You may be able to do dialup using your mobile but I would expect it to be pricey.

Are you sure that there are no other non landline based broadband services available in your area?

Would this be an option?
