Ah now, in fairness, I think the big fella did well against Giggs and Bellamy, although credit to McShane, he was solid again.

:)

Pickering is a decent fighter for a start and he beat him, his team are right not to fight for World Title yet against the mexicans or the like , a few more fights will stand him in good sted, he will win A world title rest a sure of that

They are cleverly bringing him along, a few half decent scraps in the US, a few bodies in Dublin and a "name" or two to liven it up. It would be hugely refreshing to see the lad take on an Asian or two, and even go on the road to other fighters backyards more often. It's been proved over and over that a good fighter will out and a perfect record counts for nothing when you end up flat on your back against someone you were expected to beat.

Bernard doesn't have the chin to become a true world champ, but it can be developed. But he'll remain a hero in his own mind until he realises that Europe and punchbags from North America are not all that's out there. Forget the Mexicans, bring in a couple of Asians, or even a quality African - that'd be a real ticket seller!
