Please help I am looking for ideas for a car have about 15K to spend. I need enough room for 2 babies (and all that goes with them!) and I also need a large enough boot for transporting large parcels to and from post office. Would like a bit of height as its very awkward bending into car to strap babas into car seats etc.

My mind is completely fazzled looking at different cars etc so any advice/ ideas appreciated.

thanks

The OP wanted quite a bit of room for two babies and lots of boot space. Are you referring to the Verso?

I would have suggested a Verso but for the budget, the OP would be only able to afford the previous Verso which was supposed to be crap.

If you're not concerned about the year you will pick up a nice Galaxy for around that price.

Lozza,
You want petrol or diesel, manual or automatic?
What is the largest engine you will accept?

Here are a few suggestions...not necessarily the cars in question but ideas for ones

(These Space Wagons are very spacious and don't look the worse and you should get a really good deal on one)

Best of luck

Hi

thanks for all the replies. i will try and do a trade in (I have a 99 corolla). I would like a diesel as its what I am used to (+better for environment!). I had the C-max in mind before and think I might go back to this!

I will check out all your suggestions though.

thanks

Check out Mercedes E-Class estate with 7 seats (rear facing bench in boot). Pre-1996 (W124) would be less than EUR8000 and have the best reputation, especially the diesels - they can clock up 500,000+ miles.
Economical, cheap to run (except road tax on larger diesels), diesels have tiny depreciation (especially pre-1996), stylish, and looks and drive like a car not a van/mpv/4x4. I bought one after the birth of the second child.
