sky dish problem

Hi all,been having a a problem with the sky dish laltely,maybe someone could help.Basically what's ahppening is the picture keeps breaking up or dissappearing altogether.Usually happens when we get a heavy shower of rain,just wondering would water be getting into the cable somewhere?

could be moisture getting into the top of the cable also.

Probablt the dish has moved a bit in the heavy winds a while back and is on teh edge of the beam, the attenuation caused by the rain may be enough to block the signal, have a go at moving the dish slightly as the previous poster said!!.

Had the same problem myself. I called sky and they got a technician over. Apparently half of the dish had been destroyed by the high winds. They replaced everything, free of charge. Also, they actually gave you a choice of days, the person calling rang me the night before saying what time he would be there....and then actually turned up at the appointed time!

If only everything else was so simple.

Ring the sky helpline number at around 9 or 10 at night - there is usually a very short waiting time on the phone compared to calling them during the day.
