What are all these Sales Adverts that keep appearing?

What's going on with these people who keeping putting up phones/ XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX etc. for sale on AAM, are these really trying to sell something or if you are nosey enough do any of their links have 'bugs' on them? Haven't been nosey enough yet but their actually bugging me at this stage cos I keep being duped by their Title so I go in for a look..

They are posted by robots. We had image verification stopping them but we were having problems with it, so we had to discontinue using it for the moment.

The ads don't last too long and seem to be posted mainly in Askaboutbusiness

Ah that makes sense, it was a case of: now you see them, now you don't, so thought it was something wrong with my pc which hasn't been behaving itself very well lately.

That's because usually somebody reports them and the moderators act quickly to remove them and ban the offending user.
