How do you transfer from dvd camcorder to dvd disc?

I have a sony dvd camcorder and havent a clue how to transfer footage from small dvd disc to a normal sized dvd disc. Do I need a dvd recorder or can I do it via my pc.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance
 
Yes, one of the problems of the dvd camcorder format, apart from the inferior picture quality, is the difficulty in editing and transferring which is a lot more straightforward with tape-based formats. What kind of camera?
 
with my Canon I need to put RF Lead through VCR then VCR into TV Card on my pc and record it from there with WinTV PVR 300.
 
Wow - that's got to look really bad after all that... are you sure it's an RF lead?

Small (8cm) DVD discs should be readable in PC drives. You should be able to copy the contents using Nero or your favourite DVD writing software, from onto a regular 12cm DVD.
 
hi we have had terrible trouble trying to copy ours also. The small 8cm DVD plays fine in the Sony Handycam and on the laptop but when we try to copy it then back onto the regular DVD the quality is bad - freezing, jumping no matter the type of DVD RW or R. Any way round that I wonder thanks?
