Just a quick question... if any one can help at all.......
Does anyone know where we would be able to buy the red ducting that is used for the esb/eicom cabling????

thanks all..

Any hardware store should stock it.
Do you need it for Esb or Eircom?
Was looking for same last week. The Esb ducting is Euro 85 for a 50m roll but it is not necessary for Eircom. You can get a black pipe 1.5inch diameter which is much cheaper and you can buy it by the meter.

all builders providers will have it.
About 1.50 per metre but I could be totally wrong on that. 50 m rolls. They will cut whatever length you require.

Hint, 1/2 qualplex is very handy for feeding through first and then pulling the rope that you must install.

Thanks for that it is for eircom - so you don't "have" to have the red ducting then? we wouldn't be breaking any regs by using the black ducting?
sorry for questions but all this is new to me (& himself... )

Hi Bijou
It was the Eircom engineer who's going to connect up the line that told me to get the Black ducting. He said the Esb stuff wasnt necessary.

The "ESB" ducting is not required for Telecom cable. It's normaly done in black ducting. remember to put the pull rope into the pipe before you bury it.

Thanks everyone... the black stuff it is then.. (and then maybe we'll buy the ducting:D )

Eircom tend to use a blue ducting . We build in wexford and got he blue ducting from the Eircom depot in Arklow.
