Hi, probably a stupid question but is there any miracle solution
to a build up of condensation on the mirror in a small bathroom?

I tried leaving the door open and fan on but no joy.

Thanks

you can buy a heated bathroom mirror (batteries supply the power).I think Argus might have them alternatively try a google search for heated mirrors.

I have devi heating mats behind my mirrors in the bathrooms. Each mat is wired up to the light above the mirror and activated once the light is switched on. The mats are similar to underfloor heating. You would need an electrician to connect them but they work well.

spray shaving foam on the mirror and polish it in - stops condensation I read somewhere

Quick fix: Put cling film on glass before shower and pull off after!! (Temporary measure!!);)

Nope....I heard that before and tried it but it made absolutely no difference I'm afraid !

heated glass/mirors ( same principal as cars ) is the only good solution for reasons that I wont bore you with.

Oh yeah another thing I did before is keep rubbing the mirrir with a sponge and very hot water. The glss heats up and hey presto......its messy though and is lots of hassle:D

Hi, supposedly if you cut a potato in half and rub it on the mirror before your shower it helps reduce condensation. Also, blasting the hairdryer on the mirror for a few mins dries it all right up.

I use the above hairdryer trick and it works perfect, plus I'm taking out the hairdryer anyways. Can't stand it when the OH wipes it with his towel!!

Well I have a small window cleaner (not a person, a tool....I mean...) which I keep under the sink in bathroom. Swish it over mirror and job done.

Shower gel rubbed ino the mirror before you get into the shower does the job very well. Just a tiny drop mind.

Where exactly are you plugging this hairdryer in???

the hallway outside the bathroom. You can't have outlets in your bathroom by law.

Spit on it and wipe before showering ... Works the same as your goggles if you go swimming/diving.
