I notice that the visa application has to be submitted through their Embassey office in Dublin with no applications accepted by post....
It means I would have to take 2 days off, 1 for submission and 1 for collection. Is their an agency or similar that will do this on someone else's behalf ?

This may be of help.

No connection or experience of the site/service so can't comment on it personally. I would assume they only offer the service to those who book through them (although it isn't clearly stated they do comment that the cost will be added to the invoice) so not a service which may be available to you, just for information thought I'd comment that it may be available (I always thought a personal interview was part of the process so had to be done in person).

Worth noting the details on the personal application section. For €49 you can have it issued on the same day, could be cheaper than taking a second day off if no other option is available (e.g. through your own tour operator).

You don't have to present the application yourself in person. Would your mum/dad/friend do it for you? They have an express service which means if you pay extra you can get it back same day. Usually if you are there for 9am you will have your visa by midday when they close the public office although sometimes they suspend the express service if they are very busy.
