Serious Internet Problem?

Is anyone else experiencing a massive internet blackout? I can only connect to about 10% of my favourites for the last hour. What's going on?

Nope. Although AAM was slow a minute ago. I see another complaint thread about boards.ie. They both have similar connectivity. I've no problems with the rest of the Internet. Which ISP are you using?

I have just had 20 minutes of Internet hell, it seems all right now though, fingers crossed.

Yeah me too, it was crappy there for a while. OK now. But the weird thing was that I could use Skype no problem, and AAM was always online. So was Creative Ireland and a handful of others. But for some strange reason all my other sites would bring up the generic browser error. Even Google! Very stange indeed.

Anyway, cheers for the reports.

I was ok for the last 20 mins now I'm gone again. Only AAM available. How is this happening. Surely everything is coming down the same line??

Just had a brief 'outage' myself. I suspect that with all the high winds we've been having it may be precisely that — an intermittent line problem, or repairs going on...?

I didn't have problems on Friday, but performance today has been intermittent. I was able to get to AAM and Ireland.com, but not Ireland.com email and a few other favourites. eircom is my provider.

Seems to be affecting a number of services, which might confirm my hunch about it being a line problem?

NTL broadband not loading some sites
Eircom DNS servers having trouble?
Eshat BT Problems ?

Expect severe withdrawal symptoms over on Boards.ie by nightfall...
I may end up drinking Guinness yet, r2d2!

My broadband was down all day - just got back ten minutes ago. I'm with Eircom. Must be a national fault. Had to spend the afternoon watching that dreadful Man Utd v Aston Villa game.
