I was looking for somewhere to go for lunch this afternoon with a couple of kids. Didn't know where to go which would siut both them and me. I was brought to The Independent Pizza Company beside Drumcondra Train Station by the kids who had been there before.

On arrival, I was asked whether we had a reservation, which we hadn't, but they fitted us in anyway.

Quite impressed with the place which was clean and well laid out. Food was good. Meal was relatively inexpensive. Lots of people without being overcrowded. Some tables reserved.

Here's a link to a review http://www.ireland-guide.com/establishment/independent_pizza_company.4445.html

Afterwards went into Town. The Christmas atmosphere is there now, without the massive crowds. Give it another week or two.

Anyone any other suggestions, in the Leinster area for Sunday Lunch.

Can't get much better with Avoca,Co.Wicklow.Lovely food all the time.
only draw back is because its so nice its very very busy at around 12 on a sunday but tis well worth it!

I have found Fillies Bar at Leopardstown to be good for Sunday lunch. Good food, good value , nice relaxing atmosphere, not overcrowded, no parking problems , accessible being near the M 50 , and child friendly venue.

Toghers of Newhall,Naas....plenty of room ( dinning room & carpark), great menu, fast service and child friendly.
Sorry,on rereading your post I now realise that you wanted info by Nov 12th

No, that's exactly the sort of thing I want. I was looking for future places to visit.

Thanks

Capt America's in Grafton Street might be an idea! Kids, including teenagers love it.
