Taking the easy and last minute option of buying gift vouchers for friends, can anyone recommend an online provider?

or [broken link removed] for example.

I'd be inclined to try and save myself some money and buy directly from a shop/shopping centre etc.

There's a good one that you can buy at most post offices. I think it is called the One4all and you can buy it to a particular value. They give you a book as well with a list of all the shops you can use it in. I got one last year for Christmas and was able to shop in Argos with it! :D
This is from www.one4all.ie

One voucher, 3,500 outlets! As the name suggests this gift voucher can be used in any of our 500+ shops & services and is the most flexible gift voucher ever. The One4all gift voucher can be redeemed against anything from luxury items, weekends away, driving lessons, leading department stores to helicopter flights and balloon rides! Please note: if buying the One4all gift voucher in large amounts we advise you to break down the voucher into smaller denominations to avoid having to spend the full amount in one outlet(up to 5 vouchers can be ordered in one transaction when bought online). There is a €2.00 transaction charge per voucher bought in the Post Office.

Somewhere like HMV would provide a good option as the range of music/games/DVDs will have something for all tastes.

And, from your own point of view, it's just so much easier than figuring out exactly what's available from some of the more unusual offers out there.

hmv vouchers also work in waterstones and hodges figgis too. the one 4 all are very good too.

Love getting gift vouchers - means I don't feel guilty buying something becuase it is a voucher & I have to spend it.
You can also get vouchers for specific shopping centres - liffey valley/The Square etc. Agree HMV/Virgin or Easons would also be a good idea with something for most people.

Beware of the one for all vouchers. If you get a large voucher eg 300 euro and use it in a shop - you have to use it all in that shop. Was the case before anyway.

Easons is one of my favourite shops, but why do they slap on a 2.50 surcharge when you buy gift vounchers..? I paid cash at the counter for and was still charged extra. Its no wonder more people are browsing and buying online..

im going to the zoo and i have a 100 euro gift voucher can i use the admission and then can i use it in the restaurant ????????
