Help - MP4 to MP3

Guys,

Hope some of you can help by pointing me in the right direction.

I need to find a freeware product that will convert MP4 music to MP3 format.

My Son is in a band & they have their music on MP4 format & want to put some of it on the www.

However, any hosting site that they can find will only accept MP3.

Any help / advice much appreciated.

The MP4 music is most likely .M4A or AAC format. (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mp4)

I would use to convert AAC to MP3, but this might not necessarily suit you, as it works best when you import all the files into your iTunes jukebox and then convert from there.

Am I correct in guessing that your son's band uses Macs?
If so, iTunes is definitely the way to go. (iTunes works on Windows as well.)
