Casino recommendation

I visited the Merrion Casino a few years back and had an enjoyable night out, I'm looking to do a similar night with a few friends (mix male / female), but looking at the merrion website it says its currently closed for reburbishment - there is a link to another site, but that seems to be poker only.
Can anyone recommend an upmarket type casino (mix of blackjack, roulette, etc) in dublin for a night out, the merrion met the 'james bond' image we're looking for, but I'm clueless about an alternative. Also any info on whether we need membership to go there would be welcome

The best choice for the would be the Sporting Emporium in South Anne Lane. It's the latest venture of Dermot Desmond (sp?), and looks very nice and posh.

1 Floor with Roulette, Black Jack etc. and a second floor for Poker only.

Have fun.

From their terms and conditions.

"On your first visit to the Club your photograph will be taken and you will be asked to provide a fingerprint for biometric identification"

Way OTT to me. It's not as if they are allowing you to play on credit, I assume.

I wouldn't have a problem with a CC company or bank if they want to use my fingerprint to authorise a withdrawal from my account. I will even tolerate a foreign Govt Dept (when I'm looking to enter their Country), taking my fingerprints, but a Casino. Whatever for. Just for allowing me to enter their premises for which they will chargeing me E20, and then taking more money off me. I'd rather not.

They'll probably be looking for DNA samples in the future.
