Anybody know when Ryanair will be releasing their flights for Summer 2007. At the moment you can book flights until the end of June but not for July or after. Can't find any further information on their website, so just thought I would throw it out there and see what you guys can come up with.

Hi,

Was just wondering this myself today. We're getting married near Florence next August and really need to make sure that they run a daily route to Pisa next Summer (like Summer 06) and not the every-second-day thing that they're doing at the moment!

Ta!

In fairness I wouldn't depend on Ryanair for sticking to schedules especially for a wedding. I'd fly Alitalia via Milan or Rome. Ryanair are dreadful. You really do get what you pay for!

Alitalia are an absolute joke. Ryanair would be much more reliable. Alitalia have gone on strike about 6 times in the last year. They lost 65.8 million Euro in the three most profitable months on the year, so i wouldnt be trusting them to get me to a wedding. If they arent bankrupt by then. That coupled with the fact that they have withdrawn from serving Ireland totally and now route you thru Paris CDG with air france.

Thanks Lasno - I'll keep my eyes peeled.

jake - while I find that the general service with RyanAir can be poor, I very rarely, if ever, have problems with them leaving on time, cancelling flights, etc. For sheer convenience, and bringing us 45 mins from our venue, I'd rather fly to Pisa in cattle-class than Milan/Rome in one-step-up-from-cattle-class!

Sun-sparks - just to let you know (and sorry off-topic here) we flew to Pisa with Ryanair in September for our wedding and they were great...even lay my dress out for me over a few seats they don't use at the front of the plane. All our guests flew out with them and nobody had any problems or delays...

Summer schedules are normally released by all airlines in December

You can book a flight with Aer lingus up to 330 days in advance ,so even at this early stage you can book flights up until 16 th October 2007.

Yes you can but the actual full schedule is published in December.
There may be extra flights to some destinations, less to others but some like
Dublin to Heathrow will probably not change as they will keep all the slots that they have.

Okey dokey. Only giving my opinion Shanemc, from my experiences with both airlines. Obviously I've hit a nerve.

I'd agree with ShaneMc on this one .. much and all as I don't like Ryanair there's no way i'd make a booking with Alitaltia for 6+ months in advance given their current state.

It's quite likely they'll be bankrupt by then and even if they are not they'll probably be on strike :)

Also Alitalia have pulled out of Ireland (both their Rome & Milan routes) for the winter and there's no guarantee they'll be back even if they are still in existence/not on strike.

Aer Lingus to Bologna is a short comfortable train ride to florence (It's not really much further than Pisa is from florence) - might be worth looking into as an alternative ?

Anyone know in general how far ahead Ryanair will load flight schedules on their website. I'm looking to book for a group in October 2007 and can only seem to book ahead for March '07. Even if I could just check a timetable that would be helpful but their timetable option requires you to put in dates also. I've not had much luck with their 'phone lines either. Thank you.
